BRIEF HISTORY OF NKOSEC

Our Story

Nkoranman Senior High School was established on November 4, 1989, by Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the current Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He founded the school in fulfilment of a promise he made when he was elected as the first assembly member for the Abourso Adantase Electoral Area in Seikwa.

The school began with a small student body of about 85 pupils (71 boys and 14 girls) and initially operated in a maize warehouse belonging to the Nkoranman Rural Bank at the Seikwa weekly market before proper facilities were built.

Over the years, Nkoranman SHS has grown into a fully functioning mixed day and boarding senior high school in the Tain District of the Bono Region, providing quality secondary education with various programs including General Science, General Arts, Business, Home Economics, Agriculture and Visual Arts.

The school motto is “Kaso Cherege Gyoaa”, and it is categorized as a Category B public senior high school.

Today, Nkoranman Senior High is recognized locally for its improving infrastructure, academic achievements, and contribution to education in its community and surrounding areas.
